By creating a BetterNest Kids account, downloading the app, or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use BetterNest Kids.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BetterNest Kids ("we," "us," "our"). If you are a parent or legal guardian creating an account and adding child profiles, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your children.
BetterNest Kids is a mobile application designed to teach children ages 5–17 financial literacy through hands-on, simulated money management. The service includes:
BetterNest Kids is an educational tool. All money within BetterNest Kids is simulated and tracked by parents. BetterNest Kids does not hold, transfer, or manage real money, and is not a bank, financial institution, or investment platform.
To create a BetterNest Kids account, you must be at least 18 years old, be the parent or legal guardian of any children you add, provide accurate and complete information during registration, and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of your children.
Children ages 5–17 may use BetterNest Kids only through a parent's account in kid mode. Children do not create independent accounts.
Parents create accounts using an email address and password, authenticated through Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You may also sign in using Google or Apple. When using social sign-in, your account is linked via Firebase Authentication and you remain bound by these Terms.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@evolve-180.com. We are not liable for loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

The Ollie AI Coach is optional and must be explicitly enabled by a parent for each child. It is not active by default.
Ollie provides age-appropriate financial literacy guidance. Ollie is not a licensed financial advisor, and its responses should not be treated as professional financial advice.
While we work to ensure appropriate responses, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Parents should review and discuss Ollie conversations with their children.
Conversations are anonymized before processing. Only the child's age tier (not name or date of birth) is transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
BetterNest Kids, including its name, logo, design, software, content, lessons, and all other materials, is our property and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part without our written permission.
Content you create within the app (custom chore names, goal descriptions, chat messages) remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process this content solely for providing the service.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you agree that we may use them without obligation to compensate you.
BetterNest Kids is an educational application. Nothing in the app constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional advice. Financial concepts are simplified for educational purposes.
All monetary values, balances, transactions, interest calculations, and investment simulations are entirely simulated. No real securities are bought or sold. BetterNest Kids is not a bank, credit union, brokerage, or financial institution. No real money is at risk.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The Ollie AI Coach provides AI-generated educational content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of Ollie's responses.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BetterNest Kids, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater. We are not liable for decisions made based on information provided through the service.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BetterNest Kids, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or content you submit through the service.
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings screen or by contacting support@evolve-180.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, we are required by law, we discontinue the service, or your account has been inactive for an extended period.
Upon termination, your right to use BetterNest Kids ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration per the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in California. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial.
Dispute resolution will be conducted only on an individual basis, not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BetterNest Kids. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
